The age of problem-filled hybrid crossovers is long gone. They have been instead replaced by fuel efficient, reliable, comfortable and cheap hybrid crossovers. A hybrid crossover is a combination of a hybrid and electric crossover that combines a conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) with an electric propulsion system. As with all SUV’s, the driver gets to enjoy a high driving position with a bird’s-eye view of the traffic in front of him. These hybrid crossovers offer supreme ride quality and come with a lot of cabin room. Let’s take a look at a few of the best hybrid crossovers available in the market today:
- Volvo XC90: It is simply the best hybrid crossover, the main reason for this being that it is highly fuel efficient. It achieves 53 mpg with the electric motor, which is a lot more than what other crossovers can offer. This model comes powered by 400 horsepower which sends the power to all the four wheels. It can go up to a speed of 138mph and can reach an acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 5.3 seconds. Moreover, the Volvo XC90 offers a new entertainment system called Sensus which is really good.
- Lexus NX300h Hybrid: This SUV can go up to 35 mpg inside the city limits and 31 mpg on the highway. It is much more affordable than the Volvo XC90. This model is powered by a 2.5 litre engine which produces 194hp paired with the continuously variable transmission. The NX300h may be the best hybrid crossover when it comes to design. This SUV is more about elegance than speed.
- Infiniti QX60 Hybrid: The size of this crossover is a plus point as it can seat up to 7 people and is a good choice for large families. It comes equipped with a 2.5 litre/4 cylinder engine that comes along with an extra motor, together producing 250hp. It achieves 25 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The interior is very luxurious with a large display, wooden panels, and leather seats.
