Getting a the perfect interior paints combination takes a lot of time and care. But the real challenge is to handle it once it is over. Taking care of interior paints will not only maintain the look but also prolong the life of the paint and the walls. Here are some tips that you can easily implement in your daily life to maintain your new interior paints and the perfect look.
- Clean those walls regularly
The easiest thing you can do is to keep the walls clean. Accumulating dirt can harm the paint and also deteriorate the condition of the paint eventually. Before using any kind of detergent you must be aware of the type of paint that has been used on your walls and find the best cleaning agent for it. Don’t use harmful chemicals or excess water as it may lead to moisture creating dark patches on the wall leading to the growth of mold.
- Allow proper ventilation
Once you have cleaned the walls or repainted it, make sure that there is proper ventilation so that the paint can dry properly. If you have cleaned the walls with a wet cloth using any kind of detergent, even if prescribed, it needs to dry. So open the windows and let some fresh air come in.
- Use this quick fix for crayon marks
The walls of your kid’s room are always open to an young mind’s creativity. New crayon scratches, colors and drawing are not new. However, these marks can be easily removed with the help of baking soda. Take a damp rag and dip it in baking soda. Scrub the marks off the wall with the rig and the wall should be clean. You can also use vinegar in case baking soda is not available. Before using any of these substances, make sure that your paint doesn’t react to it negatively.
The interior paints can be easily managed if you make sure that you take care of it every now and then. Follow the tips mentioned above and you shouldn’t be having any paint-related issues.
